Academic PlanningĢż
The Graduate College provides advising services to faculty, staff, and ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć related toĢżacademic policies and procedures required to earn a graduate degree from Florida Atlantic University.
Graduate College FormsĢż
The Graduate College provides advising services to faculty, staff, and ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć related to the timely and accurate submission of required Graduate College Forms. These forms include: Plan of Study, Revision, Candidacy, Academic Progression Plans, Requests to Waive University Requirements, and Application for Degree.
Plan of Study
All degree-seeking graduate ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć should have an approved Plan of Study on file with the Graduate College no later than half-way through their required course work and before enrolling in thesis/dissertation credits, if applicable. Students must have an approved Plan of Study on file with the Graduate College prior to the term in which they intend to graduate. All ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć receive written confirmation when their Plan of Study is approved by the Dean of the Graduate College.
Thesis and Dissertation Manuscript Advising
The Degree Completion staff members within the Graduate College are available to assist ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć with formatting questions and University regulations pertaining to a thesis or dissertation.Ģż
Walk-in advising opportunities are available on Wednesdays from 9 am-11 am and Thursdays from 2 pm-4 pm on the Boca Raton Campus in SU-80, room 101. MastersĢżEn PassantĢż
The Graduate College works with various colleges to support ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć earning a āmasterās along the wayā to a Ph.D., by means of advising, processing, and degree completion tracking.
Full-Time Status
The Graduate College advises graduate ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć on the eligibility criteria to be classified as full-time with a reduced course load.
Graduate Teaching Assistant TrainingĢż
To help newly-appointed graduate teaching assistants prepare for their teaching experience in our undergraduate classrooms and laboratories, the Florida Atlantic University Graduate College sponsors a mandatory Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Training each fall and spring.

Prospective Student Information SessionsĢż
The Graduate College hosts monthly Information Sessions for prospective graduate ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć. The sessions provide an overview of the graduate admissions process and financial aid. The event includes presentations for several departments including the Graduate College, Testing and Evaluation, Test Preparation, and the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Graduate College Open HouseĢż
At the Graduate College Open House, ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć have the opportunity to learn why FAU should be the first choice for graduate education.
Faculty Recruitment WorkshopĢż
The annual Recruitment Workshop is a program that presents enrollment management information to graduate academic departments. The event also provides funding opportunities for academic departments through the Graduate Recruitment Grant and Graduate Recruitment Fellowship programs.
Thesis and Dissertation Formatting WorkshopsĢż
The Graduate College offers workshops each semester on Thesis and Dissertation writing and how to properly format a Thesis or Dissertation.
Responsible Conduct of Research WorkshopsĢż
RCR workshops are provided by the Division of Research on various topics, including: Conflict of Interest; Protection of Human Subjects and Welfare of Research Animals; Responsible Authorship & Publication, Peer Review and Mentor/Mentee Responsibilities; Data Management Practices, Research Misconduct and Collaborative Research. The Graduate College supports these workshops through marketing initiatives.
Sponsored by the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA), Research Day is an excellent opportunity for graduate and professional ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć to showcase their research and receive constructive feedback from faculty and peers.
Three Minute Thesis Competition
This exciting competition challenges FAU graduate ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć to present their research in only 3 minutes. Students compete in a heat specific to their discipline; theĢżĢżFirst Place, Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, and People's ChoiceĢżĢżwinners from each heat advance to the Championship.ĢżScholarship prizes are awarded to both Heat and Championship winners. Audience members determine the People's Choice winner by electronic ballot at each Heat and at the Championship.Ģż
