Graduate International Admission Policy on 3-year Bachelor’s Degrees
Applicants for admission to a graduate program at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) must have earned a university degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a recognized foreign university or college. In general, a bachelor’s degree earned from a recognized foreign university or college must include the number of credits associated with 4 years of post-secondary academic study; 120 credits.

Bologna Process Members
FAU will accept 3-year bachelor’s degrees awarded by institutions from member countries of the Bologna Process.
Other 3-year Bachelor’s Degrees
FAU will accept 3-year bachelor’s degrees awarded by recognized foreign institutions if one of the following statements is true:
- The applicant has earned a 2-year master’s degree
- The applicant has earned a 1-year postgraduate diploma and has earned the equivalent of 120 U.S. university level credits
- The applicant submits official academic documents for a course by course evaluation from a NACES member credentials evaluation service. The NACES member must authenticate the academic documents and the 3-year bachelor’s degree must be deemed equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree. FAU reserves the right to require a foreign evaluation of any academic transcript by a NACES evaluation agency.ÌýÌý
